jUSO is about to release his debut album, much to the excitement of his already sizeable army of fans. With the album expected to be a success and fame imminent, the exciting, newfangled sound that he has made his own is certain to gain interest from across the world. The development of his unique style is the result of a lifetime of musical influence. Growing up in a talented musical family meant that jUSO was always surrounded by different forms of music. His mother exposed him to music as a child, but the streets influenced his crazy style and development. Juso’s journey did not begin in America , however. Born in Jamaica , it was here that he developed his musical tastes and interests, and it wasn’t long after he heard rap music on the radio that he decide he wanted to start rapping. Linking up with his bestfriend jeff, he began to showcase his talent in various venues across florida , playing at numerous schools and making sure that his name and music were being heard by as many people as possible. He was quickly noted for the unique style that he brought to the table, and his popularity began to grow. As his confidence grew and his style developed, he soon saw a loyal following begin to grow and he became a popular local hit in the palm beach music scene. His talent with singing added to his appeal, and his smooth sound drew the ladies. His badboy lyrics started to finally find an appreciative audience. But although his name was continuing to grow in palm beach , it was not here that he was destined to be for the next four years. Juso also played football which landed him a full ride at the University of Memphis. Instead of studying football, Juso was making new songs in his apartment. It was than that Juso came up with the Tiger song. He ask other teaammates if they wanted in and the song became a hit. “We Da Tiger” had developed an affinity with Memphis having remade the school song traveling there frequently was a must. After picking up a BA in Film and Production, he left to go to Arkansas to finish playing football and to start his masters. Here his musical ambitions continued to grow, aided by the sounds of different influences from all over the world Juso’s traditional southern sound was broadened to reach and a whole new base of people. Juso makes clear that everything he listens to directs his musical development in some way. However, he would certainly include Bob Marley, Outkast, Snoop Dog, kanye West, Wu Tang, and Brain mcknight as his biggest influences. Finally, after honing his unique sound over recent years, he is now preparing to release his debut album, ‘JUSOFLY’, which underlies the changes that Juso has gone through over recent years. The biggest of these was finding where he belonged, that allowed him to develop as a person, and has in turn profoundly aided his musical development.
